Job summary

Macclesfield Hospital is a busy District general hospital situated in Cheshire, close to the Peak District and within easy reach of the centre of Manchester.

Ward 2 is a busy General Medical Ward based on the Macclesfield site where we look after a wide range of patients with different medical conditions

We are looking for Band 3 HCSW who are willing to upskill their knowledge and take on this role which will involve clinical duties such as performing ECG's, doing observations and other tasks supporting the trained staff to support patients with all aspects of their medical needs.

You will need to enjoy variety, be flexible and willing to learn new skills. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team and must have a positive and proactive approach to work.

Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job

To support the Registered Nurse by performing personal care of patients, recording and documenting care given, doing and recording observations, undertaken clinical skills like Venipuncture.

Supporting the trained staff to provide holistic care to the patients. Taking on a supportive role with the band 2 HCSW to provide training and guidance within the team.
