Specialist Cancer Care Pharmacist

Band 7 | 1.0 WTE | 37 Hours


* 50,861 - £59,159pro rata

(including evening, weekend, on-call and public holidays commitment)

This position offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact at the cutting edge of cancer care, focusing on cellular therapies within the renowned Edinburgh Cancer Centre (ECC). As a Specialist Cancer Care Pharmacist, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting patients undergoing CAR-T cell therapy and autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplants—innovative treatments that are transforming outcomes for patients with malignant haematology conditions.

About The Role

This post is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist looking to specialise or advance in cancer care. You’ll:

* Play a key role in the pharmaceutical delivery of CAR-T cell therapy, autologous stem cell transplants, and other advanced therapies (ATMPs) for patients.
* Be part of a rotational Band 7 program that provides a breadth of training and experience across cancer services.
* Collaborate closely with a highly supportive haematology pharmacy team, committed to innovation and the development of cancer services.
* Engage with an exciting pipeline of new treatments and participate in clinical trials, helping to shape the future of cancer care.
* Benefit from opportunities for service improvement, independent prescribing training, and other personal and professional development initiatives.

This is an ideal progression opportunity for a rotational pharmacist, or a specialist pharmacist looking to broaden their clinical portfolio and gain hands-on experience with some of the most advanced treatments available in cancer care.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

* A Master of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent) and General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration.
* Completion of or have equivalent competence mapped to the RPS post-registration foundation pharmacist curriculum.
* A commitment to improving patient care through pro-active, evidence-based pharmaceutical services.
* Experience in influencing prescribing practices and working in a patient-focused environment.
* Cancer experience is desirable but not essential—training and support will be provided.
