Job Description
As a Laboratory Technician at Eurofins Genomics Europe, DTC & Population Genetics, Products & Services Limited, the purpose of this role will be to performs analytical laboratory work.
Please note this is a full time permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, between 07:00 and 23:00.
* Handling and recording of accurate analytical source data, including insertion of these in Eurofins systems (Worksheets, LIMS and QMS).
* Preparation of SOPs for analytical work regarding the laboratory technician’s protocol and instrument responsibility.
* Ensure personal User Training Log is up to date and properly documented.
* Contribute to the preparation of safety procedures.
* Perform sample reception, quality control, normalization of samples, PCR preparations, procedures for analysis on the instrument and Micro Array procedures.
* Sample shipment.
* Controlling pipettes once a year and maintain pipettes in the laboratory areas which the Laboratory Technician is a part of.
* Maintain the laboratory which the Laboratory Technician is a part of.
* Reporting any problems in the laboratory to the Team Leader.
* Perform monthly stock inventory,
* Ensure that the laboratory performs analysis at a prominent level of quality and deliver reliable results within deadlines.
* Ensure analysis is performed according to the company policies and standards
Qualifications
* Prior laboratory experience is essential for this role.
* BSc degree in related scientific field desirable.
* Good command of written and spoken English is essential.
* High sense of quality, flexibility, team spirit as well as being able to work independently and very reliable way of working.
* Flexibility and willingness for shift work.
* Excellent IT knowledge and experience.
