Senior Business Analyst – University of Edinburgh
Grade UE08: £50,253 – £61,759 per annum (pro‑rata if part‑time). Full‑time 35 hours per week, open‑ended permanent position within the Information Services Group – Project Services – Applications Directorate.
About the role
This senior analyst will lead complex, critical projects and support fellow Business Analysts across the University. The role involves a hybrid working pattern – 1–2 days a week on campus and flexible remote work. The role reports to a Team and Portfolio Manager.

What The Job Involves
* Leading engagement with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges and requirements through interviews, workshops, and surveys.
* Eliciting, analysing and documenting business needs.
* Translating business requirements into clear specifications for technical and non‑technical teams.
* Producing high‑quality documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications and supporting materials.
* Developing effective, trusted relationships with partners within ISG and across the University.
* Supporting and coaching Business Analysts, ensuring consistent high‑quality outputs.
* Defining and exemplifying best‑practice business analysis approaches, standards, processes and procedures.
