About the Role
We are looking for experienced Fabricator Welders to join our busy workshop team in Basingstoke. The successful candidates will be involved in the fabrication and welding of structural steel components to high quality standards, working from engineering and isometric drawings.

Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble structural steelwork and associated components in a workshop environment
Carry out MIG and/or TIG welding to required specifications and quality standards
Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and isometric drawings
Measure, cut, prepare, and fit steel sections and plate accurately
Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
Work collaboratively with supervisors, fabricators, and other workshop personnel
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety within the workshop
Requirements
Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder within structural steel or heavy engineering
Competent in MIG welding and/or TIG welding
Strong fabrication and assembly skills
Ability to read and understand engineering and isometric drawings
Experience working with structural steel sections and components
Good attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
Desirable
Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications/certifications
Experience working to coded welding standards
Overhead crane or forklift experience/certification
Previous experience within a structural steel workshop environment
