Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Merseyside (WA10)
Salary: Up to £60K (DOE) + Allowances
Shifts: Mon - Fri 08:00 - 16:00hrs
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
* Supervise contract personnel and actively support the sites SHEQ goals and targets.
* Prepare, issue, monitor and control Permits to Work, incorporating contractors risk assessments.
* Ensure all activities within hazardous areas comply with ATEX/DSEAR and COMPEX standards.
* Implement and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for isolation and maintenance of Electrical equipment.
* Manage and maintain HV electrical systems, ensuring all HV operations comply with site electrical safety rules.
* Prepare plant for maintenance and inspection as required, by executing physical and electrical isolations.
* Inspect and check all operating plant and machinery on a regular basis.
* Diagnose faults on plant and machinery, provide feedback and raise work orders for rectification.
* Participate in the sites on-call rota system.
Qualifications
* Qualified/Time Served within an Electrical/Instrumentation discipline.
* Must have knowledge/experience working within a Chemical or Processing industry.
* Must have detailed knowledge of Permit To Work procedures.
* Must have some SHEQ knowledge/experience. IOSH/NEBOSH certification would be ideal.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to work alone/on own initiative.
