We are excited to introduce a new, experienced Buyer into our Purchasing Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering mission-critical technology systems to Naval customers around the world.
We are seeking a confident and reliable individual with good initiative and innovation to be an addition to an already hardworking and dynamic team.
Role Responsibilities
* Procurement of products in the ERP system, including management of the procurement process from demand through to purchase orders and delivery of parts
* Where designated, effective day-to-day management of suppliers, including delivery, quality, and cost performance
* Placing purchase orders in the ERP system, ensuring strong data integrity and robust process management
* Supporting sourcing activities, including identifying new suppliers, managing RFQs, and contributing to supplier contracts
* Working closely with operations, planning, logistics, and quality teams to achieve shared business targets, including managing and resolving supplier quality and delivery issues
Person Specification
* Degree qualification and/or CIPS qualification or equivalent
* Demonstrable experience in purchasing and supply chain management roles
* A global outlook with openness to different challenges, cultures, and ways of working
* Strong planning, project management, and commercial skills
