About the role…
Our Cooplands team has an opportunity available for a Brand Trainer across multiple sites in Durham and Scarborough.
Working in our stores, the Brand Trainer is responsible for ensuring the training, development, and upskilling of colleagues across retail.
Working with operational teams, you will identify, develop, plan, deliver, and evaluate learning initiatives. You will deliver mandatory, operational, and developmental training to a high standard.
What will my role look like?
In collaboration with operational teams, you will champion training and development within Cooplands by designing and facilitating appropriate development solutions. Your role is to foster a learning culture that supports our strategy, using data, reports, and evidence to influence activity. You will lead the Retail L&D team and build meaningful relationships with colleagues.
Role Duties:
* Deliver face-to-face and virtual training across retail, including induction programs, supporting initiatives, and business change, using a blend of learning resources.
* Be present in the field to support ongoing operational improvements and respond agilely to needs.
* Adapt training for location, group size, and learning styles.
* Proactively liaise with operational teams to understand future training needs.
* Review and evaluate training effectiveness, identify knowledge and skill gaps, and implement appropriate actions.
* Maintain training records, provide data and reports, and manage training administration.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent training delivery and continuous improvement.
* Demonstrate ability to identify needs, develop tools, deliver training (face-to-face & online), and evaluate learning outcomes.
* Possess knowledge of blended learning and 70/20/10 methodology.
* Exhibit strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively across multiple projects.
* Design and develop learning resources using tools like Canva, Word, PowerPoint, and video editing software.
* Utilize online tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, and Excel.
* Be willing to travel, adaptable, and flexible regarding working hours.
* Having a training background in Food Retail is advantageous.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience or knowledge of working in Food Retail (desirable).
* Full clean driving license (essential).
