Agricultural Teacher – Exmouth

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Agricultural Teacher to work with secondary-aged students in Exmouth starting September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a passion for land-based education to deliver hands-on, vocational learning in a supportive and engaging environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching agricultural studies, animal care, land management, or related vocational subjects, and be confident delivering lessons that combine theory with practical, outdoor work.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in agriculture, animal care, or land-based studies
Support students' academic progress and personal development through practical learning
Manage outdoor learning spaces and ensure safe use of tools, materials, and environments
Work closely with other staff to tailor education to student needs
Promote sustainability, environmental awareness, and rural skills
Requirements:
Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS) or significant experience in agricultural training
Subject knowledge in agriculture, animal care, horticulture, or land-based studies
Experience working with secondary-aged students or in vocational education
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
