Responsibilities
As a Pastoral Manager you will take the lead in enabling your team to meet our young people’s emotional needs. Our young people have challenging, complex emotional and behavioural needs – including those on the autism spectrum, social, emotional and mental health difficulties – and need more support than most. You will ensure that high standards of care are applied, working closely with families and developing programmes for each individual young person. With careful assessment and planning you will create a positive learning environment where every young person can thrive.
You should have experience working with young people with BESD or ASD in a school or care setting and understand their developmental needs and what pastoral care entails. You will be a good listener, able to motivate your team and inspire young people to achieve. Flexibility, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a team successfully will make you an asset to the Witherslack Group.
