Job Summary
Store Managers are accountable for every aspect of the retail store operations, ensuring that all areas of the store are engaged, performing, and delivering world-class guest experience. This role is responsible for the talent acquisition strategy, ongoing people development and growth within their community.
Responsibilities
* Leadership and People Management: Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment and culture, establish a vision for the store based on key metrics, build a strong and diverse team, manage the store’s hiring process with a focus on IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, and action) and other lululemon priorities, provide feedback, coaching, mentoring, and career path guidance, conduct performance documentation, and address performance concerns. Plan and prepare team member schedules according to labour requirements, availability, and budget. Address employee relations issues in collaboration with the People and Culture team.
* Working With Others: Establish supportive relationships with team members and collaborate to ensure an optimal guest experience and smooth store operations.
* Guest Experience: Support team members to ensure a great guest experience, including providing technical product education and supporting in-store transactions and omnichannel programs; move dynamically on the floor to address guest needs and business requirements; handle guest escalations and emergencies.
* Operations: Manage store P&L in line with goals, plan and execute high-level quarterly and annual planning for strategy, budget, and labour, plan floor coverage, maintain a safe work environment, and perform work in accordance with policies, procedures, and laws.
* Budget Responsibility: Accountable for controllable budget and labour hours; contribute to annual sales targets.
* People Management: Directly oversee all store employees (with potential delegation of some management aspects).
Qualifications & Core Skills
* Experience: 1 year people management experience
* Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is a plus
* Experience: 2 years retail or sales-specific management experience is a plus
* Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of the store location; 18 years or older; provide right-to-work documentation (EMEA only)
* Availability: Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Other: Willing to work as part of a team and also independently; able to move through a store for most of a shift; able to lift up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg)
