Aboutthe role:
As part ofthe Operational Excellence & Business Services team within Drax EnergySolutions, the EV Risk & Governance Manager will;
- Embed a risk and control management framework across the EV business, working closely with DES Risk & Governance and Compliance
- Act as a key intermediary with the Regulation and Compliance teams, and DES Risk & Control, to build and maintain strong, effective relationships that enables our EV business to be compliant by design.
- Co-create and contribute content for the DES Risk Management & Compliance committee (RMCC) meetings throughout the year, drawing content from Copper incidents, and risk and control reviews.
coach and educate colleagues on risk management, governance and controls
- Use strong internal stakeholder management skills to influence the senior team in the EV business, with the confidence to influence and have challenging conversations.
- Provide support and advice on ad-hoc risk, governance and compliance work as directed by the business.
Whowe’re looking for:
To besuccessful in this role you’ll ideally have…
- A qualification in risk, compliance or governance.
- A proven ability to challenge decisions and drive process improvements.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and drive performance through others on a consistent basis through the application of coaching, influencing and negotiation techniques.
- A deep understanding of governance, risk and compliance frameworks from design to implementation with strong understanding of risk mitigation and management.
- A driven and enthusiastic approach, persistent in your approach to delivering against agreed business objectives.
