We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Lead to join our team at our supported living service in the City of Redcar.
Reporting to the Deputy Manager, the purpose of a Service Lead is to lead a cluster of support services that provide an agreed level of support to the people we support, helping them achieve their individual goals and lead full, productive lives as valued members of their community.
The Service Lead will be responsible for managing 2 supported living services and a small outreach service in the absence of the Manager within Redcar. Responsibilities include completing rotas, staff supervision, attending reviews with People we Support, updating support plans and risk assessments, conducting medication and finance audits, and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed with support from the Manager.
We seek someone with creative experience to act as a role model for our staff teams and to take responsibility for the day-to-day activities at the service. The role involves participating in and leading team meetings and service user reviews, ensuring medication procedures are in place, activity timetables are maintained, and service users are supported appropriately. You will also undertake managerial responsibilities contributing to the overall management of the support services and support on shift as needed to meet the needs of the people we support.
Working hours are flexible and may include evenings and weekends in the future. You will spend approximately 80% of your hours on shift and 20% on administrative tasks, with the possibility of working 100% on shift when necessary.
Qualifications required include Level 3 in health and social care, with driving being desirable. Experience in leading a staff team is advantageous.
Essential experience includes a demonstrable track record of working with people with learning disabilities in an enabling environment, a good understanding of Person Centred Care principles, and knowledge of the needs of relevant service user groups such as Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Complex Care, Autism, etc.
