Position Summary:
As a Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing electronic tests on high voltage power supplies. Your expertise will help develop products that meet project schedules and performance standards for New Product Introduction (NPI). Each day brings new challenges, so be prepared to adapt and tackle various assignments!
Key Responsibilities:
utilise your strong knowledge of circuitry and troubleshooting to manage moderate to complex tasks.
Fault-find down to the component level and contribute to product development improvements.
Use specifications, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to effectively test and troubleshoot units.
Maintain fixturing and conduct calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
Assist in training other employees and serve as a technical interface with other departments.
Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
Document development notes, corrective actions, and test procedures/results accurately.
Foster open and professional communication while working under limited supervision.
Initiate and contribute to process improvements, lead times, throughput, and cost reductions.
Ensure all quality processes and procedures are adhered to as per departmental policies. Qualifications:
Previous experience in testing electrical circuits and assemblies is preferred.
Proven adaptability and flexibility in a team environment.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
Intermediate computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Proficiency in all pertinent SAP applications.
Minimum of two years in electronic testing and troubleshooting (or equivalent).
Experience in designing, developing, and implementing new test fixturing is a plus.
Knowledge of ESD practises is essential.
HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree is required.
