Job Description
Role: Pump Service Engineer
Location: Bristol
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
Our client is looking for an experienced Pump Service Engineer to join their busy team. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of a wide range of electrical pump systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites.
This is a field-based role requiring strong technical ability, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities include:
* Service, maintain, and repair electrical pump systems (including submersible, booster, and wastewater pumps)
* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults on-site
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Install and commission new pump systems
* Complete accurate service reports and documentation
* Communicate effectively with clients and provide technical advice
* Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations
Skills and experience:
* NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Engineering
* 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred)
* Proven experience working with pump systems or similar equipment
* Strong fault-finding skills in both electrical and mechanical systems
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Strong customer service and communication skills
