Job Summary
As a Key Account Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and growing our most important client relationships. You’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding service, driving revenue, and managing the commercial success of each account.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of service performance, KPIs, and SLAs across key accounts.
* Manage the P&L for each account, optimising margins and customer profitability.
* Ensure client satisfaction across products, services, and touchpoints.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans, identifying growth opportunities, pricing strategies, and project pipelines.
* Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager and Business Development Director to onboard new business and manage ongoing relationships.
* Drive revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and value-adding initiatives aligned with client needs.
* Provide accurate sales forecasts and demand planning to support operations.
* Build strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders across client organisations.
* Act as the main point of contact for key accounts—resolving issues, managing escalations, and ensuring service excellence across logistics, supply chain, and customer support.
* Lead and support commercial negotiations including contracts, pricing, SLAs, and volume agreements.
* Serve as the commercial lead for NPI (New Product Introduction) projects, coordinating cross-functional teams from concept to launch.
* Champion internal initiatives around cost reduction, lean practices, and operational efficiencies.
* Monitor and manage service performance, ensuring OTIF (On-Time In-Full) targets of 95% or higher.
* Represent the company at client meetings, site visits, and industry events—occasionally hosting and entertaining clients as part of strategic relationship building.
Personal Specifications
* 2+ years’ experience in a Key Account Management role, ideally within manufacturing, pharma, or related sectors.
* Proven experience owning P&L, hitting KPIs, and driving commercial success.
* Strong background in strategic account planning, commercial negotiations, and relationship management.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills—confident in dealing with senior decision-makers.
* Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Analytical thinker with strong forecasting, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Commercially savvy, with experience in pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and margin improvement.
* A proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering customer success
