Job Title: Hardware Engineer (Principal/Lead)
Are you an experienced Hardware Engineer interested in delivering high-performance digital hardware for our self-protection systems installed on fast jets, UAVs, land, and naval platforms?
What you will do
The successful (Principal/Lead) Hardware Engineer will collaborate with experts and utilize world-class facilities to develop electronic hardware for complex systems that meet demanding future customer requirements. Your responsibilities include technical problem solving, hardware design, and product development. The role may require travel across the UK or abroad for technical reviews.
What we need from you
* Design experience with mixed signal ADC/DAC, FPGA, and SoC for high-performance signal processing, communications, and control, including AC/DC power conversion.
* Experience with fast interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and JESD204B.
* Proficiency with industry-standard design tools.
* A structured approach to electronic design and electronics testing methods and equipment.
* Educational background with either a HNC/HND or undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Applied Physics, or equivalent skills and experience gained through work.
* Eligibility for UK residency (minimum 5 years) and the ability to achieve full SC security clearance, including access to UK Eyes Only and ITAR export-controlled information.
* Experience within the defence industry and familiarity with model-driven engineering using MATLAB and Simulink are desirable.
