We have a great opportunity for an experienced Lab Supervisor to join our team where you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Quality Control laboratory. You will lead a team of QC Technicians in supporting daily quality control activities within our aseptic production department.

* Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW
* Working Hours: 37.5 Hours Weekly
* Contract: 12 months fixed term contract
Your main responsibilities:
* Participating and assisting in the training of technical and support staff who are working in the aseptic manufacturing unit
* Ensuring appropriate environmental monitoring is undertaken, documented and trended as defined by the Quality Manager
* Undertake validation of laboratory equipment and processes where required to maintain compliance with GMP.
* Support the Quality Manager in the quality control / assurance of products made within the aseptic manufacturing unit.
* Generate protocols and reports for all analytical validation work
What you need to succeed:
* Proven experience of line management responsibilities
* Proven experience of working within a laboratory environment within a commercial or NHS environment
* Microbiology knowledge is desirable but not essential
* Excellent communicator with attention to detail
* A methodical and organised approach to work
* Ability to work under pressure, take ownership and prioritise appropriately
