Are you an experienced environmental or waste management professional looking to step into a senior-level consultancy role? One of our leading clients in the nuclear and environmental sector is looking to appoint a Senior Environmental Consultant to join their expanding team in Warrington.

The Role
As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering complex technical work packages, providing strategic direction, and shaping environmental and waste management outcomes across major nuclear programmes.
You will be a trusted expert, using your technical knowledge to guide clients, support decision-making, and mentor colleagues within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and resolve complex technical challenges relating to nuclear waste management.
Produce high-quality technical reports, documentation, and strategic guidance.
Deliver clear presentations and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to long-term capability development.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
Contribute to business development and wider consultancy growth plans.
Support planning, permitting, compliance, and environmental assurance activities.Experience Required
We’re looking for someone with strong industry experience in the nuclear sector, including:
Decommissioning planning and delivery.
Integrated waste management strategies and waste characterisation.
Environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
Proven experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders.
Leadership or line management experience.
Strong technical authoring and peer-review capability.
Previous consultancy experience delivering strategic or complex projects.Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent).
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer/Scientist status is highly desirable.
Additional nuclear safety or waste management certifications are an advantage.Security Clearance
