The therapist leads an interdisciplinary team to develop, coordinate, and facilitate direct social services interventions for assigned patients and their support systems. The therapist uses empirically supported techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or family therapy to aid in stabilization and recovery. The role involves creating a safe environment for patients to gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and work towards their goals. Additional duties may be assigned by the manager or clinical supervisor to support patient care and system initiatives. The therapist works in an acute care setting, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and/or intensive outpatient services.
Rogers Behavioral Health in Kenosha seeks a therapist for their PHP/IOP location, open to fully licensed or in-training therapists. The program serves adults and children/adolescents, offering supervision hours and team growth opportunities.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, no holidays, no on-call opportunities
* 8 am - 4:30 pm
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address patients' needs and goals.
2. Assess patients' needs through comprehensive evaluations.
3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, facilitate team meetings.
4. Provide counseling using evidence-based techniques to manage symptoms and improve well-being.
5. Educate patients about their conditions, self-care, and treatment options.
6. Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress, and interventions.
7. Collaborate with treatment team members and external professionals for coordinated care.
8. Follow ethical guidelines, maintain confidentiality.
9. Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
10. Report suspected abuse cases per legal and policy requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate interdisciplinary collaboration and effective communication.
* Adapt to staffing and scheduling changes as needed.
* Support system-wide initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Prioritize patient and facility safety.
* Perform other duties, including ongoing education and committee participation.
Education & Experience:
* Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
* In-training licensure as LPC-IT, MFT-TL, APSW, or equivalent.
* If applicable, substance use credentialing (SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC).
* Knowledge of therapeutic interventions for all age groups and human development.
Required On-the-Job Training:
* Compliance with RCC and CBRF standards (preferred for all levels).
* CPR certification within 30 days of hire, recertify bi-annually.
* Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 60 days, recertify annually.
* Attend mandatory in-services and maintain licensure requirements.
* For residential programs, must hold a valid driver’s license (preferred).
