About Us
We are a vibrant creative charity based in Shoreditch, running art clubs for adults with learning disabilities (our Rainbow Club) and after-school art sessions for children. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of our group members, and pride ourselves on ensuring each member is understood and cared for to the best of our ability. Our mission is to foster creativity, build community spirit, and provide a supportive environment where everyone can express themselves artistically.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Creative Studio Assistant to join us part-time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9 – 5pm. These working days are fixed so availability on these days each week is essential.
This is a varied, hands-on role that's ideal for someone who has initiative, is enthusiastic, warm, and proactive. You'll support our vibrant art sessions – helping our group members feel welcome, engaged, and creative – and also play a key part in keeping our studio space clean, organised and running smoothly.
We're a small team, so we're looking for someone who is genuinely helpful and happy to roll up their sleeves. Whether it's cleaning brushes, setting up materials, being creative with our groups, running art workshops, or helping at events – you'll play a vital part within the charity.

* Positive Engagement: Be a supportive and encouraging presence, helping participants feel valued, inspired, and confident in their creative abilities.
* Proactive Support: Anticipate and address needs within the studio, contributing to the smooth operation of all activities. Be ready to assist with any tasks that arise, without waiting to be asked.
* Event Assistance: Occasionally assist with events, fundraising initiatives, and other creative projects, helping to promote the charity's mission and engage the wider community.
Essential Attributes:
* Personable and Friendly: Warm and approachable, with a genuine interest in people and a passion for helping others.
* Initiative-Driven: Able to independently identify and complete tasks, demonstrating a proactive approach to work.
* Enthusiastic and Creative: Passionate about the arts and eager to share this enthusiasm with others, fostering a love for creativity in all participants.
* Dependable: Reliable with excellent timekeeping skills, ensuring consistent availability on the fixed working days.
* Adaptable: Willing to assist with various tasks, including light cleaning and studio organisation, to ensure the smooth running of the studio.
Desirable Experience:
* Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, providing support and encouragement.
* Experience engaging with children in educational or creative settings, fostering a nurturing and inspiring environment.
* Background or keen interest in art, craft, or creative education, with a desire to share this passion with others.
