The Maintenance Systems and Processes Manager will collaborate with Solihull's maintenance teams to design and implement unified systems and processes. Although progress has begun, significant work remains to achieve full alignment. Historically, Solihull's maintenance groups have operated independently within their own technologies, resulting in varied practices and a lack of standardisation. This has negatively impacted plant performance across key indicators, including:
* Operational Performance Rate (OPR)
* Right First Time (RFT) / First Time Through (FTT), driving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
* Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS)
* Zero Harm
* Cost Per Unit (CPU)
What to Expect
* Conduct SWOT analysis of maintenance operations, benchmarked against JIPM/TPM standards, to capture current state and impact on KPIs.
* Deploy a multi-year roadmap to improve performance metrics and move towards benchmark levels.
* Standardise maintenance systems and processes, engaging teams and driving the shift from reactive to proactive maintenance.
* Lead and support TPM Steering Committees and rollout activities, ensuring robust sustainment and solid foundations.
* Collaborate across functions (Operations, GMS, IDT, Digital & Innovation, GME) to align plans, integrate improvements, and leverage new technologies.
* Build workforce capability through training, recruitment, succession planning, and health & safety initiatives, while modernising practices and maintaining strong employee relations.
* Strong understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy pillars.
* Proven experience in a similar role, including leading maintenance teams to achieve manufacturing production targets.
* Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
* Practical experience in specifying, installing, and commissioning automation solutions to deliver productivity gains.
* Demonstrated ability to apply a structured, logical approach to problem solving.
* Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
