Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team, for a minimum of 12 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:45 and 15:15, term time only. Flexibility to work at short notice to cover staff absences is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting children's development, ensuring their safety, and promoting their learning through engaging activities.
Responsibilities
* Create and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to each child's learning journey.
* Manage behaviour by establishing clear expectations and providing guidance to children in a positive manner.
* Drive initiatives that enhance the pre-school environment, ensuring it is safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
* Observe and assess children's progress regularly, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development.
* Collaborate with other practitioners to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the pre-school's educational offerings.
* Engage in ongoing training opportunities to stay updated on early childhood education trends and practices.
Qualifications
* A full and relevant qualification in Early Years is essential.
* Previous experience working with children in a pre-school or similar environment is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children and parents.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and positive attitude in a busy environment.
* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their individual needs is crucial.
* A valid Enhanced DBS check will be required prior to employment.
