Job Title: General Operative – Picking Line

Job Type: Full-Time / Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: 7.30am to 4.15pm – Monday to Friday (2 x 15 min breaks and ½ hour lunch)
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking General Operatives to join our team on a picking line. This role involves manually picking items from a conveyor belt and transferring them into designated bins according to category. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary, just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sort and pick items accurately from a moving conveyor belt
2. Place items into appropriate bins based on product type
3. Maintain a clean and safe working environment
4. Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
5. Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily targets
6. Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor
Requirements:
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
8. Good attention to detail
9. This is a physically demanding role and you must be able to stand for extended periods
10. Punctual, dependable, and able to follow instructions
11. Willing to work as part of a team
12. No previous experience required – full training provided
