Director - Energy Skills Partnership
Salary: £83,513 per annum (pay award pending)
Base: Stirling (Hybrid)
Fixed Term: This is a funded post initially for the period of two years. This could provide a secondment opportunity.

Energy Skills Partnership and are looking to recruit a Director to provide direction and leadership, in support of Scotland’s Colleges to ensure ESP is a high-performing organisation that is flexible, inclusive, and responsive to evolving industry skills needs whilst supporting Scottish Government’s energy ambitions.

The Energy Skills Partnership is a collaboration of Scotland’s colleges and industry partners established to increase the capability and capacity to deliver the right skills for energy transition, low carbon transport, engineering & advanced manufacture and construction & energy efficiency sectors.

We are looking to appoint an individual with drive and determination, someone who can take the lead in helping us deliver our ambitions across Scotland to ensure we are at the forefront of skills development for our priority sectors.

The Director will work with colleges, industry, government and agencies to:

* Provide thought leadership by anticipating future skills needs within the energy sector and positioning the partnership to respond proactively.
* Ensure the partnership supports Scotland’s transition to net zero by embedding sustainability across programme design and delivery.
* Promote inclusive skills pathways that widen participation and ensure under-represented groups are supported into energy sector careers.
* Contribute to national policy discussions and influence strategy to ensure Scotland’s colleges are recognised as a central driver in the energy transition.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, positive individual with a strategic mindset and excellent communication and influencing skills. Someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, finds solutions, provide inspirational leadership and delivers results.

The closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Friday 10 October 2025.

Interviews are scheduled to be on site in Stirling or via Teams, during the week commencing Monday 20 October 2025, with some flexibility to accommodate pre-booked holidays.
