University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Consultant Clinical Oncologist to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will join an innovative team of Consultant Oncologists, each delivering specialist Oncology care for tumour sites including gynae, urology, and head and neck.
UHB's Oncology service provides a comprehensive range of systemic anti-cancer treatments and radiotherapy. Consultant-led clinics are conducted face-to-face and virtually at dedicated Oncology/Haematology units across several hospitals: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital, and Solihull Hospital. Bespoke Day Unit facilities support chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments at each site. Inpatient Oncology care is available at all sites, supported by the Acute Oncology Team (AOS) and the Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) service. QEHB features two dedicated Oncology wards for elective and emergency inpatient treatments, along with a Young Persons Unit (YPU) for inpatient and day cases.
The network includes bespoke outpatient, inpatient, and day-case services across Birmingham's hospitals, with clinics, CNS/nurse-led services, ACP, and AOS provisions at all sites, all under Consultant-led care.
