Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable counter balance FLT driver/ Production Operative to join our expanding team. At least 1 years experience operating a counter balance FLT is required.
Sociable hours, Monday - Friday, day shifts only.
A current, counter balance FLT licence issued by an external provider is a must for this position. The successful candidate would be expected to assist within the factory during busy periods, working on production machinery. Training would be given. Experience in a similar background is necessary. Communication skills and the ability to work as part of the team is essential.
Northern Packaging is a AA rated BRCGS site. Understanding the importance of this and assisting the team in maintaining this standard is crucial.
General duties include:
* Operating an FLT
* Assisting the production team during busy periods by operating equipment, machinery and tools as required.
* Adhere to operational procedures and production practices, working with the team to monitor and control production processes
* Concentration and attention to detail, conducting basic testing and quality checks during production
* Adhere to health and safety practices at all times when operating machinery and handling products. Keeping work areas clear and free from hazardous materials
* Follow basic cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure a clean and organised warehouse environment is maintained
Good physical fitness, strength and manual dexterity is required. The successful candidate should be computer literate and possess commitment and the desire to attain goals in respect to production and quality.
Full training is provided. Following a successful probation period, we can offer a competitive hourly rate and full uniform.
Core hours are Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. / Friday 8 am - 12 pm, with agreed flexibility to suit the needs of the business. Overtime is offered during busy periods.
