Overview
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Fitness Assistant to join our team at John Wright Sports Centre. The successful applicant will support customers on their fitness journey, build rapport quickly to engage and educate them on the latest fitness trends and support them through their training, as well as ensuring that the gym is kept clean and tidy.

Hours
13 hours per week
Shift Pattern
Friday 3pm - 8pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am - 2pm
Salary
£14.12 - £14.27 per hour
Duration
Fixed term until 30 September 2026
Responsibilities
* Support customers on their fitness journey, build rapport quickly and educate them on fitness trends.
* Assist with training guidance and ensure the gym area is clean and tidy.
* Engage with customers to help them achieve their training goals and maintain a welcoming gym environment.
Qualifications
* Must hold a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, relevant HNC or equivalent.
* Excellent interaction skills.
* Experience of working within a gym environment is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
