Your new role
Working core hours of 2pm to 10:30pm, you will take ownership of the operational performance of the evening shift. You will lead, manage, and motivate a team to meet safety, quality, productivity, and service expectations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring staff are fit for work, correctly briefed, andpliant with all PPE and site standards. You will oversee all aspects of goods receipt, including scanning, documentation, andmunication of duties, while also driving workforce efficiency to ensure labour costs remain within budget. A major part of your role will involve full responsibility for blast freezer operations, from loading and programming to weekly cleaning schedules. You will also manage downstream processes such as decanting, re‑palletising, temperature checks, scanning, and preparing products for despatch.pliance will be central to your work, ensuring all activity aligns with Health & Safety, QMS, USDA, HACCP, and related regulatory requirements. You will maintain a clean and organised environment,plete all required quality and cleaning records, and provide cover for other managers as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring proven experience managing people in a production, warehouse, or operational environment, along with strongmunication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills. You must be confident using IT systems such as Microsoft Office and scanning tools, and capable of managing workload, deadlines, and team performance in a busy setting. A calm and structured approach to leadership is essential, alongside the ability to uphold standards, manage conduct, and drive continuous improvement across your shift. Additional qualifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, or leadership would be highly advantageous but are not essential.
