Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Receptionist - Care Navigator REPORTS TO: Practice Manager HOURS: 18-20 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Variable hours on a rota basis. Job summary: The successful applicant will need to be highly motivated, adaptable and flexible and project a professional, positive and friendly image to our patients both in person and on the telephone. This is a busy Practice and the ability to stay calm under pressure is particularly important.
It is especially important to us that the successful applicant is a team-player providing support to colleagues when needed. Job responsibilities: Administration Follow written Practice policies and Protocols detailing our administrative processes. Reception Greet patients and visitors, managing queries in person, by telephone and email. Direct patients to the appropriate service or healthcare professional using Care Navigation knowledge.
Book, amend and cancel appointments using the practice clinical system. Process patients repeat prescription requests and liaise with clinicians and local pharmacies. Manage our online consultation system. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, scanning and filing documents into patient records.
Assist with administrative tasks as required. Maintain patient confidentiality in line with GDPR and NHS policies. Complete administrative tasks sent through our various systems. Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and administrative colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
Provide cover for colleagues during absences or busy periods as required. IT Use our clinical and document management systems within the guidelines (full training will be given. Use other IT systems as needed. Other Tasks Clear rooms after surgeries and maintain stock levels.
Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm. Complete any other tasks allocated by managers.
