We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Parts Assistant to join our team in Glasgow. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of the parts departments West Coast Motors. The Parts Assistant will be responsible for: All general enquires relating to the stores department Keep the stockroom clean, safe, and efficient Dealing with all correspondence, queries, and complaints Creating and managing the stores filing systems Dealing with purchasing and ordering for stores Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming deliveries Daily monitoring and processing of stores mailbox Supporting and assisting the finance department on the purchase process from start to finish (purchase order, delivery notes, invoices) Dealing with communications of lead times of parts, tooling, and PPE to all relevant managers Any other duties as required by the Engineering Manager/Engineering Supervisor Key competencies Good interpersonal and communications skills Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook Able to work independently but also as part of a team Keen eye for detail and accuracy Excellent organisation skills A positive attitude and a willingness to learn Experience in a warehouse or stockroom environment (desirable) A forklift license (desirable) The role will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm with flexibility to cover additional hours where required.
