Technical Assurance Lead 21 Month Contract

We are seeking a senior Technical Assurance Lead to act as an independent critical friend across a large transformation programme.
This role provides structured technical, estimation, and design assurance, ensuring supplier outputs (story sizing, architecture, and Key Design Decisions) are sound, cost-effective, and aligned to programme objectives.
Key Focus:
* Challenge and validate supplier estimates
* Review technical designs and KDDs
* Define and embed design quality gates
* Support commercial inputs (SoWs, change requests, releases)
* Ensure cross-programme architectural alignment
* Produce monthly assurance reports and risk summaries
Experience Required:
* Strong technical architecture and integration background
* Experience with agile estimation and story sizing
* Ability to translate technical risk into business impact
* Experience in governance-heavy transformation environments
