Sports Assistant
Are you passionate about inspiring children through sport and physical activity? Join our incredible SEMH School in Southampton where you will work alongside the PE teachers and support staff to deliver fun, inclusive, and tailored sports activities. Your involvement will help students overcome challenges, build self-esteem, and develop important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and perseverance.
Role: Sports Assistant (PE)
Location: Eastleigh
Working Hours: Full-time (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £430 - £450 per week
About the School & Role:
Located in Eastleigh, our forward-thinking school promotes active lifestyles and holistic development through sport and PE. The successful Sports Assistant will support PE lessons, assist with extracurricular activities, and encourage children to participate actively, fostering both physical and social skills in a fun and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
⭐ Support PE lessons and sports activities
⭐ Encourage and motivate pupils to participate and excel
⭐ Assist with equipment setup and management
⭐ Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence
⭐ Support children with varying abilities to engage in physical activity
⭐ Help monitor safety and wellbeing during activities
What We’re Looking For:
Passion for sport and physical education
Experience working with children or young people in an educational or sports setting
Enthusiastic, energetic, and motivating personality
Ability to support children of all abilities and backgrounds
Good communication and team-working skills
Enhance DBS on the Update Service
