The Role of Service Delivery Manager
Field Engineer Support - Ensure engineers have the necessary resources, tools, and information to carry out maintenance and project work efficiently.
Maintenance Coordination - Oversee planned maintenance schedules for CHP units, ground source heat pumps,and air source heat pumps, ensuring timely servicing and system reliability.
Breakdown Management - Act as the first point of contact for urgent repairs, coordinating rapid response efforts and ensuring excellent customer service.
Parts Procurement - Source and manage the inventory of essential components, working with suppliers to secure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
Client Liaison - Communicate with clients to schedule maintenance, provide updates on ongoing work, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Project Support - Assist in the planning and execution of low-carbon energy projects, ensuring smooth operations from design to implementation.
Operational Efficiency - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize service quality.
The Right Service Delivery Manager
Experience in operations support, engineering coordination, or maintenance planning, ideally within the energy, engineering, or maintenance sectors.
Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Experience in sourcing and procurement of technical parts and equipment.
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
Ability to work under pressure, particularly when handling breakdowns and urgent maintenance issues.
Knowledge of technical equipment servicing, ideally including low-carbon energy systems, CHP, ground source heat pumps, and air source heat pumps, is highly desirable. Proficiency in ERP or maintenance management systems is a plus.
