Overview
We operate a plant business providing a range of services to various authorities and highways, in addition to private clients across North Yorkshire (and beyond in some cases) We are seeking casual or self employed skilled Plant Operators to join our team.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for the operating of machinery and equipment, ensuring that work runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
Besides having contractual obligations to provide operators that have experience and the necessary qualifications to operate machinery, it is also our businesses way of working.
Responsibilities
* Operate plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained.
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency.
* Troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
* Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on new technologies or processes.
* Risk Assessments and Method Statements are always provided, you would be required to follow them at all times along with any other policies in place.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in Plant Operations is absolutely required and so are the qualifications for the specific plant you operate.
* CSCS Card is absolutely required
* Strong understanding of machinery operation and maintenance principles.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently when required.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with colleagues.
* Flexibility to work shifts as needed.
