SEN Primary HLTA – Part-Time – Bideford

Days: 3 days per week (Part-Time)
Pay: £100–£115 per day
Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA with a commitment to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs? A warm and nurturing SEN school in Bideford is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dedicated team from September 2025 on a part-time basis (3 days a week).
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a setting that prides itself on delivering high-quality, inclusive education tailored to the needs of each pupil.
The Role:
* Supporting teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2, with a focus on SEN pupils
* Delivering targeted interventions and small-group support
* Assisting with classroom management and pupil engagement
* Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide personalised support
* Helping create a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience in a primary or SEN setting
* Be confident working with pupils with a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be flexible, patient, and resilient
* Have experience with behaviour management and differentiated learning
Trial Day:
All applicants will be invited for a paid trial day prior to the September start, giving you the chance to meet the team and pupils, and see the school in action.
