The Role
High Wycombe PS is seeking a Deputy Principal to join our team and provide high level leadership across the school to ensure the school’s business plan priorities are delivered effectively for successful student outcomes.
Our school’s focus areas are:
1. Curriculum and Teaching: Low variation high impact teaching in every classroom. We teach according to an explicit teaching model and whole school approaches to ensure that every student is a successful learner.
2. Building staff capacity: Quality teaching across the school. Staff are supported and equipped within a collaborative professional learning community (PLC) to work towards teaching and learning excellence. Further developing strong phase of learning PLC’s will be a major area of work from 2026.
3. Conditions for learning: Student engagement and wellbeing. We are a Positive Behaviour Support school striving to build a calm orderly learning environment through explicitly teaching behaviour expectations. Zones of regulation complements this, along with additional intervention and support in learning and behaviour.
