About the School:
We are partnering with a respected Secondary School in Hemel Hempstead, renowned for offering a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum in a nurturing, inclusive setting. The school is looking for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join the team in September, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. Specialisms in History, Geography, or Religious Education (RE) are welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Humanities lessons that inspire and challenge students
* Teach across KS3 and KS4 (with the potential for KS5, depending on experience)
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports students diverse needs
* Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and help them achieve their targets
* Differentiate lessons to cater to students of varying abilities
* Contribute to the development of the curriculum and department plans
* Prepare students for GCSE exams, including revision sessions and assessments
* Engage in extracurricular activities and contribute to the broader school community
* Maintain effective classroom management and uphold the school s behavior policies
* Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and colleagues
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification
* A degree in a Humanities-related subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Education)
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
* Experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level
* Excellent classroom management skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
* An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
