The Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Greater Essex is a partnership between Essex County Council, Southend-on-Sea City Council, Thurrock Council, University of Essex, and Anglia Ruskin University. It focuses on the social, economic, and environmental determinants of health and addressing related challenges in local communities.
The HDRC is evaluating the Connect to Work Programme in Essex, Southend, and Thurrock, a voluntary employment support initiative aimed at helping vulnerable groups secure meaningful employment. The programme adopts a collaborative, locally led approach to address hidden unemployment by integrating local employment, health, and skills services. It targets those who are economically inactive and face health issues, disabilities, or social disadvantages.
As an Evaluation and Impact Analyst, you will support senior leaders in assessing the programme’s effectiveness, providing evidence-based insights to inform decisions and improvements. You will also contribute to the broader HDRC research efforts.
About you:
You should have a proven track record in delivering high-quality research and recommendations that influence strategic decisions, preferably within local government or the public sector. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to influence, and a commitment to professional development are essential.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Experience in research and evaluation projects that lead to tangible improvements. Ability to identify opportunities to solve business problems and inform strategic planning. Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
We offer an excellent rewards package, mentorship from research managers and academics, flexible working, and long-term career prospects. Interviews are expected in the week commencing 2nd June 2025.
