Laser Applications Engineer, Didcot, £35,000pa - £45,000pa plus benefits:
An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Lasers, Optical Engineering or Physics graduate who has year or two’s worth of industry experience, and a keen interest and passion for Lasers and Optical Engineering technology. Originally a University of Oxford spinout, our client has become a world-leader in the design and manufacture of complete laser micro-machining systems, subcontract laser micromachining and additional services. Due to growth within their Laser Applications team, they are looking to recruit a graduate Laser Applications Engineer with a couple of years experience.
On a day-to-day basis the Laser Applications Engineer will join a high performing Laboratory team. The successful Laser Applications Engineer will need the following experience and skills:
Good degree or MSc in Lasers or Optical Engineering or Physics or Engineering or similar qualification plus equivalent practical experience
Some knowledge of the following - Laser micro-machining - Integration and test of complex laser systems - Machine control software or programming - Materials science - Metrology, microscopes, SEMs etc - Optical systems
Good computer and IT skills
Industrial experience preferred
