Job Opportunity: Lead Academy Age Group Coach at Stoke City Football Club
Stoke City Football Club, a Category One status Academy in the English Football League, is seeking a part-time Lead Academy Age Group Coach to support its football operations at Clayton Wood Training Ground and other development centre locations.
Reporting to the Head of Academy Coaching, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and developing young players, working alongside the academy team to plan and deliver weekly programmes aimed at enhancing player performance and development.
Main Responsibilities
* Planning, delivering, and evaluating coaching activities.
* Reviewing and updating the coaching curriculum.
* Providing reports to the Head of Academy Coaching.
* Attending meetings, workshops, and training courses as required.
* Developing and evaluating player performance to improve team outcomes.
* Collaborating with Lead Phase Coaches on player progress.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
* Background in football as a player or coach.
* UEFA B coaching qualification and FA Youth Coaching Modules 3, with progress towards Advanced Youth Award.
* Understanding of elite football requirements.
* Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of EPPP requirements.
* Strong planning and communication skills.
* Experience in academy coaching and managing coaching staff (desirable).
The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends. It is a part-time, permanent position with all necessary training provided.
