About the role
Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for your next opportunity in Birmingham secondary schools? Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects as a Cover Supervisor
2. Support teaching and learning as an HLTA, working alongside teachers and independently
3. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure a positive learning environment
4. Provide feedback on student progress and engagement
5. Adapt to different school environments with professionalism and confidence
Requirements:
6. Proven experience working in UK secondary schools as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, or similar role
7. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
8. Excellent communication and organisational abilities
9. A flexible and proactive approach to work
10. Must be a UK resident OR have lived in the UK for 5 years
11. Ability to provide recent professional references
12. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
13. Overseas police checks required for candidates who have lived abroad
