Your expertise will help facilitate the smooth movement of medical records, materials, and equipment, supporting our clinicians and departments to deliver exceptional healthcare. If you are a proactive, organised professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for healthcare logistics, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic hospital environment.What you'll do:Monitoring and managing the Hive system to ensure timely completion of all portering jobsAllocating work and responsibilities to portering staff, ensuring proper use and return of handheld devicesCoordinating staff training, including moving and handling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulationsManaging staff scheduling, including annual leave, sickness absence, and conducting performance appraisalsCommunicating effectively with healthcare and support staff to resolve issues and coordinate portering servicesEnsuring all portering duties are performed in line with Trust policies, including incident reporting and complianceProviding emergency response coordination during incidents such as cardiac arrests, fires, and other critical situationsWhat you bring:Good communication skills to enable communication with colleagues, patients and clients regarding on job dutiesAbility to work as part of a teamGood level of customer care.Experience of working in a healthcare environment (desirable)Good understanding of health and safety and manual handling practicesAbility to respond constructively and professionally to unpredictable situationsAttend mandatory induction and health and safety related training and all other required trainingWhat we offer:Working at Sodexo isn't just a job — it's a chance to make a difference every day.
