We’re supporting a specialist manufacturing business in Fareham who are looking to recruit a Production Operative to join their JChem / process team.
What’s the role all about?
As a Production Operative, you’ll be responsible for supporting chemical and process-based manufacturing activities, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards.
This is a practical, hands-on role working within a controlled manufacturing environment where attention to detail and adherence to procedures is key.
Shift pattern and salary
Late Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00am
No Fridays – 3-day weekends every week
Salary: £27,500 per annum
Shift uplift: +25%
Key responsibilities
Carry out production activities within a chemical/process environment
Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions and safety guidelines
Support the mixing, handling or processing of materials where required
Monitor production processes to ensure quality and consistency
Carry out basic inspections and checks during production
Maintain accurate production and process records
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
Maintain a clean and organised working environment
Work collaboratively with production, quality and engineering teams
What you’ll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Experience in a manufacturing, chemical or process environment
Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Good teamwork and communication skills
A reliable and proactive approach to work
Experience working with chemicals, controlled processes or regulated environments would be advantageous.
