Job Description :
* Airbus is seeking an experienced Building and Construction Project Leader to lead Capital Investment (CAPEX) projects from feasibility through to design, construction, and final handover.
* You will manage multi-functional teams (MFTs) and work closely with external consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with Airbus procedures, health & safety standards, and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage CAPEX projects from inception to handover.
* Develop and manage multi-functional project teams (MFTs), including external professionals.
* Prepare and manage CAPEX business cases and project delivery plans.
* Oversee design briefs for building services (mechanical and electrical).
* Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Manage the preparation of technical reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
* Audit site works for compliance with technical, quality, and H&S requirements.
* Monitor and validate service work packages and contractor performance.
* Maintain strong client relationships and uphold Airbus standards of safety and ethical conduct.
Essential Experience & Skills
* Strong leadership in construction and CAPEX project delivery.
* Previous experience in facilities management or client-side project management.
* Demonstrable experience managing refurbishment or plant replacement projects in existing buildings.
* Practical understanding of building services design, maintenance, and operation.
* Proven ability to take projects from feasibility through design to execution and completion.
* Proficiency with IT tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, G Suite).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualifications & Desirable Attributes
* ONC / HNC or equivalent in Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
* Chartered or professional membership (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE, IET) preferred.
* Familiarity with industry-standard design and calculation software.
* Experience in consultancy or client-side construction roles.
