At Bolton at Home, we’re proud to be a values-driven organisation putting people first—our customers, our colleagues, and our communities. We’re on an exciting journey to build an inclusive and empowering workplace culture, and we’re looking for a skilled and strategic People Partner to help us get there.
This is more than a typical HR role. It’s an opportunity to influence how we work, lead cultural transformation, and support managers and leaders across the organisation with expert people advice and proactive coaching.
Why this role matters
As our new People Partner, you’ll play a key role in delivering our ambitious People Plan, aligning HR practices with our organisational goals and values. You’ll work in true partnership with leaders—resolving complex people matters, developing capability, enabling change, and improving outcomes for everyone who works here.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading on a broad range of HR matters including employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
* Advising, coaching and challenging managers to build confidence and consistency in people leadership
* Championing our inclusive culture by embedding our values and ensuring EDI is central to all we do
* Leading and supporting change projects such as restructures, TUPE, and redundancy processes
* Developing and mentoring People Advisors to continually raise service standards
* Using people data and insight to drive improvements and inform strategy
What we’re looking for
We want someone who brings a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery. You’ll be:
·CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)
·An experienced HR generalist or business partner with a strong casework background
·A credible coach and advisor who thrives in fast-paced environments
·Skilled in data-led decision making and confident using HR systems
·A values-led professional who champions diversity, inclusion and wellbeing
·Resilient, organised, and solution-focused with strong communication skills
Experience working in a unionised setting and an understanding of the housing sector would be a bonus—but what matters most is your ability to build trust, deliver results, and live our values:
* Good Intentions – You act with integrity, professionalism, and care
* Good Communication – You’re honest, clear and respectful
* Good Listeners – You involve others and value their input
* Good Together – You collaborate, share and grow with others
What you’ll get in return
We offer a friendly, flexible and supportive working environment where your wellbeing and professional development matter. You’ll benefit from:
* Competitive salary and pension
* Generous holiday entitlement

* Ongoing learning and development
* A strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
* The chance to make a genuine difference every day
