An established and growing organisation is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their busy finance and payroll team. About You
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a busy payroll environment
* Proficient in Sage Payroll or similar payroll software
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
* Highly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning
About Your New Role
Always:
* Deliver accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple pay frequencies
* Maintain professionalism when liaising with clients, colleagues, and external partners
* Take responsibility for your work, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
Often:
* Process starters, leavers, and salary adjustments, including statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
* Manage pension auto-enrolment and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
* Prepare and submit payroll reports, P45s, P60s, and year-end documentation
* Handle payroll queries promptly and professionally
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
Occasionally:
* Support with ad hoc payments and BACS submissions
* Assist with payroll-related projects or process improvements
* Provide administrative support to the wider finance function when required
Never:
* Be limited to one routine – this role offers exposure to varied payroll and finance operations
