Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: North Oxfordshire Salary: £37,000 – £44,000 per annum Hours: Days initially, moving to rotating AM / PM shifts (no nights) Our client is a well-established global manufacturing organisation operating across multiple international sites. They are a recognised leader within their sector and are looking to add an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support their growing UK operation. This role offers long-term stability, exposure to modern manufacturing and automation equipment, and the opportunity to work within a safety-focused, high-volume production environment. Responsibilities – Electrical Maintenance Engineer Respond to day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance issues and machinery breakdowns Diagnose, fault-find, and repair production machinery, robotics, automated systems, and plant equipment Carry out preventative maintenance with a focus on electrical systems, control panels, drives, and motors Support PLCs, sensors, and other control systems to maintain production uptime Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment efficiency and reliability Maintain accurate maintenance records and electrical documentation Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialist electrical support Manage electrical spare parts, consumables, and stock levels Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve system reliability Ensure statutory inspections, testing, and electrical compliance requirements are met Assist with planning maintenance coverage across machinery, automation systems, and ancillary equipment Qualifications / Experience – Electrical Maintenance Engineer Time-served engineer with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment Strong electrical background with proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience with PLCs, control panels, motors, drives, or robotics highly desirable Mechanical experience advantageous but not essential Electrical or Mechanical engineering qualification preferred Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure Confident communicator able to engage at all levels of the business Benefits – Electrical Maintenance Engineer Competitive salary £37,000 – £44,000 Company pension scheme Life assurance Additional leave entitlement On-site facilities and free parking Cycle to work scheme Employee discount schemes Training and development opportunities For further details, please contact Kieren Provis on ; We are an employment agency specialising in opportunities within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, and Scientific sectors.
