This is a key pastoral role, supporting pupils who struggle with attendance, punctuality, anxiety, disengagement or behaviour-related absence. Our partner schools are seeking someone who can take ownership of attendance processes, build positive relationships with students and families, and work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams to improve daily attendance and reduce persistent absence. About the Role As an Attendance Officer, you will: Monitor daily attendance, punctuality and absence using school systems. Make first-day absence calls and follow up with parents, carers and external professionals. Support pupils with poor attendance, including those with SEND, SEMH, anxiety, or behaviour challenges. Complete home visits (with a colleague) where necessary to support safeguarding and re-engagement. Work alongside pastoral leads and behaviour teams to identify patterns of absence and provide targeted intervention.
