Overview
We are looking for a Transport & Operational Graduate to join the Distribution, Warehouse and Customer Service business unit based in Portbury, Bristol. This rotational programme is designed to prepare graduates for a future management role in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
The programme involves rotating between the customer service team, stock team, planning, driver & fleet management, and warehousing. You will also work on specific projects and report to the warehouse manager, working alongside senior management.
Operations take place at a National Distribution Centre with frozen storage and order‑fulfilment that operates 24 hours a day, Sunday afternoon to Friday night. Core working hours are 06:00 – 22:00 Monday to Friday in 8‑hour shifts, with occasional night work.
Key Responsibilities
* Rotate between customer service, stock, planning, driver & fleet management, and warehousing teams.
* Support day‑to‑day warehouse activities: inventory management, order picking, packing, and stock control.
* Coordinate transportation of goods, ensure timely deliveries, track shipments, and optimise logistics processes.
* Collaborate closely with teams to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
* Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies in warehouse and transport functions.
* Ensure health and safety compliance within the warehouse and transport environments.
* Develop leadership skills through hands‑on team management, performance management, and preparing for future managerial roles.
* Participate in a rotational programme across roles, departments, and shift patterns to build a well‑rounded skill set.

Essential Qualifications
* Degree or currently studying toward a degree (21 or above/predicted).
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills – Excel and PowerPoint.

* Interest in warehousing or transport with a desire to broaden knowledge.
* Agile communication skills to interact with a variety of people.
* Problem‑solving and analytical approach using data to make decisions.
* Leadership potential – ability to motivate, manage, and guide teams, especially in high‑pressure situations.
* Full UK driving licence and access to own transport for commuting purposes.
